The children of St Mark’s video
St Mark’s is proud to offer an excellent environment for a well-rounded, varied education and most importantly, a well-rounded, happy child. Our children not only thrive academically but also benefit from its nurturing and caring environment. The school is set in beautiful grounds and playing fields and offers an extensive range of extra activities and clubs from music and dance to football and skiing. There are on-site breakfast and after-school clubs and a forest school.
Our 2018 and 2019 SATs results were among the very best in Tunbridge Wells (there have been no 2020 & 2021 SATs due to Covid-19).
A Welcome message from our Headteacher, Mr Bird
On behalf of all children, staff and governors I would like to welcome you to the school. We are a voluntary controlled, Church of England Primary School maintaining a strong partnership with the Parish Church of St Mark’s and the school is administered by the school governors in liaison with the Diocese of Rochester and Kent County Council.
As head teacher, my job is to ensure that we provide a good quality education for all of our children and to oversee the smooth running of the school on behalf of our Governing Body. Our school’s very strong Christian ethos is fundamental to the life of the school and it permeates everything we do. The staff of the school work extremely hard to provide a creative curriculum which challenges and stimulates the children. We offer an extensive range of school clubs and inter-school competitions. The school also has a breakfast club and an After School Club (there is a small fee for each of these). The atmosphere at school is one of hard work, fun and enjoyment, with children and staff all happy to be at school.
We are all extremely proud of our school and we are always keen to meet any visitors who would like to come and know us better. If you are interested in looking around our school, please contact me to arrange a time to do so.
