Welcome to St Marks

Welcome to St Marks,

On behalf of our children, staff, Local Committee, and the Tenax Schools Trust, I am delighted to welcome you to St Mark’s Church of England Primary School.

St Mark’s is a caring and inclusive Church of England school with strong Christian values at the heart of everything we do. We are proud of our close partnership with St Mark’s Parish Church, which helps to nurture our distinctive Christian ethos and sense of community. As part of the Tenax Schools Trust, we benefit from working collaboratively with other schools, sharing expertise and opportunities that help every child thrive and achieve their full potential.

As Headteacher, I am committed to ensuring that every child receives a high-quality education in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment. Our dedicated staff work hard to deliver a broad, engaging, and creative curriculum that challenges children academically while fostering curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.

We offer a wide range of enrichment opportunities, including school clubs, sports competitions, educational visits, and special events that enhance children’s experiences beyond the classroom. We also provide a Breakfast Club and After School Club to support our families.

Our school is a happy, welcoming place where children are encouraged to work hard, enjoy learning, and develop as confident, respectful, and caring individuals. We are incredibly proud of our school community and the achievements of our pupils.

We warmly welcome visitors and would be delighted to show you around our school. If you would like to learn more about St Mark’s or arrange a visit, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours sincerely

Simon Bird
