Local Committee

THE TENAX SCHOOLS TRUST LOCAL COMMITTEE

Local governance matters in our Trust. It is what ensures our schools are rooted in their communities. Local committees work with leaders to ensure a unique Christian ethos and character are at the forefront of the school’s work

For children, staff, and schools to flourish, governance at all levels of the Trust must be highly effective.

Each school in the Trust has a Local Committee. The Local Committee is a subcommittee of the full Board of the Trust. The Board asks each Committee to know and understand key aspects of the school’s work.

The Committee includes members of the local community appointed by the Trustees, as well as elected parents and staff members.

St Marks CE Primary School currently has 7 Committee Members.

  • Miss R. Beggs, Chair of Local Committee
  • Mr S. Bird, Headteacher
  • Reverend C. Allwood
  • Mrs D. DE Arajou
  • Mrs H. Gudmunsen
  • Mrs E. Heel
  • Mrs R. Jarman

Our Clerk to the Local Committee is Mrs Carla Osborne.

Our Committee meets 3 times per year. Individual Committee members also visit the school to better understand the work of the school.
